  The last time I watched bad acting in a movie was in Spy . That movie was a car crash with no forgettable action, terrible actors, poor direction and screenplay, terrible direction, and an awful story. Yudham Sharanam had a couple of things going for it though. Some of the supporting cast are some of the best in the industry, and the story had potential. Those are the only good things about the movie. Everything else was poor. While the main story began well and had some intrigue and suspense, more focus was put into the story of the family and the unnecessary love story between the leads  This gave very little time to tie in the flow of the story, and the eventual reveal of the suspense falls flat. The biggest reason why the movie does not do well is because of the male protagonist's inability to act. Everything from his expressions to his dialogue delivery, dancing in songs, and inability to do good fight sequences seems to have lead the movie makers to put more effort in...

  It was a confusing movie where the story did not make any sense. The primary reason was that there was just too much that was happening and none of it added up well. It was as if the script was written on the fly as the movie was being shot. The first 5 minutes of the movie where a high court judge goes into hiding and the story of the protagonist is told has absolutely nothing in relation to the other parts of the story. Was it a story of revenge where the protagonist seeks the head of the villain who had decimated his village? Or was it a story of women empowerment where the protagonist intends to empower a young girl into realizing her potential? If the revenge story was the mail plot, it was a standard revenge plot with some unnecessary women empowerment thrown in at the end. If it was the latter, it was painful to watch. Utter waste of time this movie is. There are no redeeming qualities in it. The story is stupid, the songs are unmemorable, the performances are nothing to write home about. It is a complete waste of time.

This movie is about the events leading up to a dark time for RAW, the Indian intelligence agency which had established a strong and credible network of agents and spies in Pakistan, which was able to gain sufficient evidence about Pakistan's attempts to make a nuclear weapon in the late 1970s, only for it to come crashing down as the then prime minister Morarji Desai informed Zia ul Haq about how the nation's spies had credible information about Pakistan's nuclear programme. This lead to a complete crack down of Indian agents and spies in Pakistan, an event that took the Indian agencies decades to get over. Siddharth Malhotra plays the role of one of the spies in Pakistan who is tasked with finding out the location of Pakistan's nuclear programme. He has a backstory where he is the son of an ex Indian officer who killed himself as he had committed treason.   Netflix had been suggesting me  to watch this movie  that had an ensemble cast of top actors like Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, etc.,  for a while, and it was the release of the second movie that my sister had already watched that triggered me into watching it. It is a classic "whodunit murder" kind of movie, and although the murderer is seemingly revealed at the beginning, the characters slowly reveal interactions with the victim that makes all of them appear as suspects. A surprise twist at the end and an effort put into ensuring that the story is water tight makes for a goo watch.

I am a lifelong fan of Chiranjeevi's movies. The fandom started in the early 90s with the movie Gang Leader , and continued till the mid 2000s. I started to watch movies from other languages and industries at that point of time, and Chiranjeevi's increased push into the world of politics made me lose interest in his movies. All that changed when his 150th movie, Khaidi number 150 was released. I watched it on the day it released. The movie was uninspiring though, with the actor reprising some of his tropes that took him to the top, which felt jaded and out of place in a newer context and generation. The worst part of the movie was the character of Kajal Aggarwal , who was in the movie to only be the love interest of Chiranjeevi , despite being half his age,  and dance next to him. His next movies,  Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy  and Acharya  had a better approaches and did not portray any love interest of Chiranjeevi, but the overall tone of the characters where they...

"Mumbai Mafia: Police vs Underworld" is a documentary that intends to depict the clashes between the Mumbai underworld and the Mumbai police in the 90s and 2000s. I expected it to be a multipart series about how the police identified their targets, made plans on how to nab them, and how it descended into a scenario where a shootout took place. However, it turned out to be a one and a half hour long video that spoke about the ascent of the cops, and how the façade  of heroism came crashing down as allegations of fake encounters and blackmail started to emerge, with the hammer falling through an interview with vogue (or time, I do not recall) magazine, where one of the cops who is later accused of blackmail makes insensitive statements about the gangsters in an interview that later gets published.
